Alveolar bone grafting

Know Your Surgery
Alveolar bone grafting is a reconstructive procedure to repair and restore bone in the alveolar ridge (the part of the jawbone that holds teeth in place). This procedure is crucial for: ✔ Cleft lip and palate patients who require bone support before dental restoration. ✔ Dental implant preparation for patients with significant bone loss. ✔ Jawbone strengthening in cases of injury, infection, or developmental defects. The graft is usually taken from the patient’s hip, chin, or tibia and transplanted to the jaw for proper bone integration and stability.
